Now, add a cup or two of water, depending on how many chicken parts are in the pot. Bring the contents of the pot to a slight boil. Then reduce heat, cover, and simmer. The longer and slower you cook your soup, the better it will taste - so be prepared to simmer it for an hour or two. You can add a dash of salt and pepper while simmering, just to add a hint of flavor. Now, your broth is made. You can keep it in a Tupperware dish or casserole dish, covered, and keep in the fridge until you are ready to make your soup.

Once you're ready to create your soup, pour your broth into a pot. Add diced chicken (if you have any), and any vegetables of your choice. Thinly sliced celery, carrots, green onions, or small cubed potatoes, or a few peas. All you need to do is bring the broth and vegetables to a boil and simmer until the vegetables are nice and soft.
